Alvin Gentil (1904-1995) was an early force in the founding of magic clubs in Texas [1]
Biography
Gentil was an Assistant Director of the newly-formed Texas Association of Magicians in the 1920s[2]
He was also an early member of the I.B.M., issued card number 359. His name appears frequently in Genii, New Tops, The Sphinx, and the Linking Ring.
Gentil was reported in the April 1995 issue of Linking Ring club report for Ring 168, which he had joined. He also belonged to Houston Ring 39.[3]
