Chris Frings (1940-2008) taught magic for adults and children at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and performed at schools, conventions and hospitality suites.
Biography
He graduated from the University of Alabama and received a Ph.D. in Clinical Chemistry from Purdue University. He was Director of Clinical Chemistry and Toxicology at a clinical laboratories for twenty years before becoming a full-time consultant in 1987.
Many of his effects were published in Genii from 1980 to 1983.
Frings was the inventor of "All Screwed Up" (See Genii, Vol. 46, no. 9, September 1982, page 581, Screwed!), a two-in-the-hand routine with nuts and bolts, later popularized by Doc Eason.
