Richard Davis (1875-1933) worked for the Lyceum and Chautauqua for many years as "The Man Who Mystifies."[1]

By 1910, Davis was called "Mysterious Davis" and appeared in a concert company called "The Gladys Klark Co" as a featured act. Later he was doing a full-evening show playing throughout New England as "The Great Davis".

Davis was one of the first members of the I. B. M. (member No. 261) and he served a number of terms as a member of the executive committee.[2]
