Dr. Duncan J.B. Fletcher, a medical professional, was President of the Scottish Conjurers Association for 30 years, and joined the Magic Circle in 1953 awarded Inner Magic Circle in 1976.
Biography
During five years' National Service he trained as an engineer. On leaving the Navy he returned to Glasgow and graduated from the University's Faculty of Medicine in 1952. He then joined the Public Health Department of Glasgow Corporation and was involved in the polimyelitis and tuberculosis campaigns. He was Deputy Superintendent at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and Superintendent at Greenock. He ultimately became Unit Medical Officer in Western and Gartnavel hospitals and sat on the Management Committee of the General Council of Glasgow University.[1]
