Bob Lewis (b.1909-d.1986) was a stand up comedian that did magic and comedy tricks appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show 22 times, including one on October 8, 1961.

Biography

Lewis was born in Winston-Salem, NC and very early in his life the family moved to Knoxville, Tennessee where he grew up.

In November 30, 1940 he married Virginia Johnson and formed a dance team that played night clubs and theaters until he was called into the army during World War II.

He was on the bill at the Blue Angel with Phyllis Diller in 1958.

Lewis collected banjos and had 28 of them at the time he died, including one that belonged to his friend Senator Crandall.[1] [2] [3] [4]
