Jon Zealando (b. 1939) is the stage name of magician Trevor John Hodson.[1]
Biography
Inspired after seeing John Calvert in 1950 he became a professional escape artist, ventrilloquist, fire-eater in 1957.
He created the Ironing Board Levitation in 1973.[2]
Zealando designed and sculptured the The Benny Award, which was named after its first recipient, Edgar Benyon (1902-1978) in 1969.[3]
His life story was written by New Zealand magic historian Bernard Reid in 2019, entitled Jon Zealando: A Magical Legend.

- Two Guiness Book of Records records on the television show "That's Incredible" and two appearances on the Tokyo television programme "The World Surprise Show".

- Variety Artists Club of New Zealand lifetime achievement Benny Award 1972.
