Chevalier Agoston, (November 5? 1821 - 1876)

Real name Carl August Bohm, was a German performer who specialized in doing ghost shows.

In the 1860's, he had a ship turned into a magic drawing room, and traveled up and down the Rhine river, giving performances, but it was not successful.

He later performed in Switzerland then returned to Berlin where, it is told, he died of starvation.

Apparently afterwards, Mrs. Agoston appeared as a magician in Oriental costume with surprising success.
