Frank Brents (1925-2010) was a professional magician that billed himself as "America's Black Magician".
Biography
His "Duck Act" became legendary, producing a multitude of large ducks.
Brents was one of the founding producers of New York's "Monday Night Magic," and played an active role in that show up until the very end. [1]
He performed for the Princess Grace of Monaco, the Rockefellers, the Kennedys, President Dwight D. Eisenhower and traveled to forty different countries.
His first love had always been music, and he came close many times to making it big in the world of music. The New York Times called him "the best song writer since Rudolph Brennel. He writes the kind of songs theatres need." In 1958, he produced a musical version of The Egg And I. [2]
