Hans Moretti

Hans Moretti is a FISM winning mentalist and illusion team with his wife Helga known as The Morettis.

Moretti moved to West Germany in 1940 and trained in the circus until 1950.

The won first prize for Grand Illusions at FISM in 1976, featuring their Sword Box & Russian Routlette routines. He also invented a Crossbow Escape Illusion, a Paper Tree Suspension (based on the Broom Suspension) and others.

In 1979 he won first prize in Mentalism at the FISM Brussels XIV World Championship.

He has appeared on Paul Daniels TV show many times in the 1970s and 80s.

In 1984, they were awarded the Academy of Magical Arts Performing Fellowship.

He has 18 entries in the Guinness Book of Records including the October 1988 he record for the Burning Rope Escape.

One of his sons, Peter Moretti (born 1957) is an escape artiste working with his wife Sonja and performing many of his father's effects. [1]
