Loch David Crane
Loch David Crane, M. Ed. calls himself "a magician of character" because he plays so many parts in the stages of life and entertainment. Born in 1948 in San Diego (same year as Teller and Ricky Jay) he survived a difficult premature birth and lived most of the rest of his life there. Crane graduated from San Diego State University in 1971, with a Master's in Education in 1977. His career as an educator lasted through 1996, and included his last fourteen years at National University. He has written five textbooks in technical writing, and a magic book about "Magic Squares from 5 to 105."
Loch David Crane performs as "Bafflin' Bill Cody" a western magician with stage and close up acts. He may be seen on YouTube with several versions of "Sawing in Half" including school principals, tribal leaders, and a feathered Samba dancer! He formerly performed as "Mistoffelees the Magical Cat" in the 1980s when the musical was current. He starts to grow a real beard each summer for "The Magic Santa Claus" which is his most popular and easily recognized character, performing a Magic act as well as the usual Santa Services. He has been performing since 13 and is now 64, hoping for another 20 years on stage and in your hearts.
