Lew Zafran was a Dallas Ft. Worth area magician who was known for creating very unique devices. Legend suggests he made a set of Chinese Sticks that work from any angle, one set exists and was given to his son.
Biography
Lew was born to Russian parents Morris and Rose Walderman Zafran in Dallas, TexasStarted learning magic at age of 10. As a serviceman in the Pacific, he was known as the “Witchdoctor of Guadalcanal.” He entertained fellow soldiers in New' Zealand and Hawaii at hospitals and was on a special program for Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt during her Pacific tour. [3]
