Professor Carlini (c.1900-1953) was the stage name of Central American magician, Miguel Somoza Lopez.

Biography

Carlini, after seeing Carter the Great, and other magicians in 1921, started his professional studies in the United States, Europe and the Orient. Returning to San Francisco, California in 1924, he appeared at the Orpheum, Pantages, Casino Cameo theaters with his Oriental show.

In 1928 he started a tour of Southern California, Mexico, and South America with Dolan.

Carlini would make his home in Caracas, Venezuela, South America, where he devoted most of his time to astrology.

Lopez died following a heart attack in Sonsonate, El Salvador.[1]
