Bert Wheeler (1909-1946) was a well known Hollywood, California magic dealer and member of the IBM Caryl Fleming Ring No. 21.

Biography

His Hollywood Magic Shop was near the famous corner of Hollywood and Vine streets. It was located at 6268 Hollywood Blvd. Bert Wheeler, not the Bert Wheeler of Wheeler and Woolsey fame, founded the store in 1935 as sole owner.

Wheeler died in a plane crash returning to Los Angeles as pilot of a plane he had just purchased in Arizona. His Broken Wand ceremony was conducted by William W. Larsen. [1]

The magic shop was sold to Louis St.Pierre, Sr. by Bert Wheeler's sister in 1947. The shop was for sale and Conrad Krebs suggested to Louis that he put his sons Louis Jr. and George to work.
