F. R. Burnette (1861-1940) was an enthusiastic member of the Magicians' Club, a magician, showman and owner of the Theatre de Luxe in Rothesay.

Biography

In 1920 he started an exclusive society, which he called The Mystic Twelve, which he was the President for many years.[1][2]

He became a showman and conjurer well known in the West of England As Professor Burnette, the Modern Magician, he filled a six-weeks' season during 1886 at the American Novelty Palace in Glasgow.[3]
