Bamberg Magic and Novelty Company opened in 1909 at 1193 Broadway, New York City by Okito in partnership with Joe Klein. The company was the primary representative of the German firm of Carl Willmann.

While minding the store and toying with a pillbox, Bamberg invented his famous Okito Coin Box used to perform coin magic.

In August of 1914, the world war started and all imports from Germany were cut, which was the final blow for the Company which had been ailing for some time. Theo and Joe Klein dissolved the partnership.[1]
