Bert "Bertie" Bretma' (?-1936), the stage name of Albert "Bert" Brown was a professional magic dealer in London after the first World War.
Biography
He was an engineer by apprenticeship and together with Stanley Collins offered joint contributions to early magical magazines of mechanical effects.[1]
Stanley Norton joined with Bretma in a magic shop in the 1920s, but after a year sold out his interest to Bretma.
Bretma closed the shop to joined the Carmo troupe as a technical assistant.[2]
