Bobby Acoba (1939-2011) was a bar magician in Hawaii.

Biography

Acoba began as a bartender at the Ilikai Hotel when he started going to a local magic shop to learn some tricks to perform for bar patrons. He later worked as a bartender/magician at the former Aaron's Atop the Ala Moana, Sarento's Top of the "I" and other bars and nightclubs.

Also in demand at private parties, he entertained such celebrities as Carol Burnett and Jim Nabors.[1]

He was a member of the SAM Aloha Assembly #89 and was invited to Japan in early 2000 for a convention of bar magicians.[2]
