Bruce Hurling (c.1882-1934) was a semi-professional magician and served as Corporal S. R. Wilson in the Royal Garrison Artillery.

An after-dinner entertainer, he joined the Magic Circle in 1914 and served on the Council, appearing in many shows. Some of these items were published in the Magic Wand and the Magic Circular.

Just shortly after turning full-time professional, after a children's party he was infected with meningitis and an operation failed to save his life.[1]

Among his magical inventions was the "phantom" or "ghost" tube.[2]
