Carl Bud Dietrich (b. 1922), born in East of St. Louis, Illinois was a full time professional trade show magician.

Dietrich became interested in magic when reading one of Hugard's books while attending St. Joseph's College in Indiana. He performed a bit while serving in the Army during the war.
In the 1950s, he was very active in the magic community serving as President of IBM Ring 1 in St. Louis Missouri then territorial vice-president for Missouri & Illinois. During this time he performed a night club act while managing the golf club at Grand Marais State Park during the day.
By the 1970s, he was working corporate trade shows full time and was employed frequently by the manufacturer of HOYLE playing cards, billing himself as "Mr. Hoyle".
