Cardician's Blendo is a card effect by Paul Harris originally published in Las Vegas Close-Up (1978), then later reprinted in Art of Astonishment Volume 1 (1996).
Effect
A spectator selects a card (10 of Diamonds). After failing to find the selected card twice, the magician takes the two incorrect cards (4 of diamonds, 6 of diamonds) and magically blends them into the selection.
Variations
- 10 (Paul Harris & Jay Sankey) in Close-Up Seductions, by Paul Harris (1984). A variation not just of the handling but of the plot, wherein an Ace, Two, Three and Four of the same suit (e.g., Hearts) magically fuse together into a jumbo Ten.
- Changes in Random Acts of Magic, by David Acer (2004)
- Pasteboard Blendo in Card College, Vol. 5 by Roberto Giobbi (2003)
