Caro Miller (1900-1972) was a musician, musical director and semi-professional magician from San Jose, California.[1]

Biography

He was known for performing with his wife Lynn, "rag pictures" and magic including the production of a fluffy live dog from a dog house.

His silk banners that he used in his act were hand-painted and designed by his uncle Gig Miller

Miller, was billed as an Australian when touring in 1939 and played the vibraphones at the San Francisco World's Fair in 1940.

Very active in the magic community, he founded the Mystic Thirteen of San Jose in 1932, served as president of the Oakland Magic Circle (which he was a honorary life member), was an Honorary Member of Los Magicos, and a Past President of the Pacific Coast Association of Magicians.

The "A. Caro Miller Trophy" was awarded to the most artistic presentation at Pacific Coast Association of Magicians Conventions from 1930s to the 1950s.

Miller also operated a music store in Oakland.[2]
