Charles Silva was a magic collector and an officer of the Golden Gate Assembly of the Society of American Magicians (member No 1980).

He was also a long time member of the I.B.M. and attended many of the early I.B.M. Conventions.

He began as a vaudeville and burlesque comedian.[1]
