The China Variety Theatre (1937-1963) in Stockholm, Sweden was one of the most popular European places to perform in the middle of the 20th century.

Inaugurated as a movie theater in October 1928, it started to include stage and variety shows within a few years. By 1937 a yearly variety show was started during the summer months (May through September) with two showings per evening. By the time it closed in August of 1963 there had been a total of 70 shows which featured a magic act. [1][2]
