Dick DeYoung (b. 1930) has performed as a magician for over 60 years.

Biography

In 1948 DeYoung graduated from high school and decided to work in earnest to become a magician. He joined the Houdini Club of Wisconsin (which he served as president) and then the I.B.M.[1]

He discovered magic in the 1940s during his junior year at Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin High School where he perform at a variety show at the school to raise money to purchase war bonds during World War II. He soon began charging money for shows and traveling to magic shops in Milwaukee and Chicago to buy equipment. [2]

He has performed for a variety of audiences and has played in practically every kind of venue, from atop a hay wagon to the largest arenas. [3]
