Doc Lewis (c.1878-1953), an eye, ear, nose and throat specialist, was an amateur magician.
Biography
Dr. Lewis received his medical degree in 1905 from Rush Medical College in Chicago.[1] He became a specialist for the Rock Island Railroad.
He was a ring-leader of the Knights of the Ebony Wand, which was made up of magicians from the surrounding towns.
He died following a heart attack at the age of 74.
His son, John, was also a magician, of Chicago.[2]
