Don Rogers (1900-1971), stage name of Ernest Schieldge, was an early member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and co-editor of the original Linking Rings.

Biography

His first public performance was in 1910 at a local Y.M.C.A.

He was recruited to the IBM in 1922 by foundering members Len Vintus and Gene Gordon as member number 3, making him the first non-officer member. He was co-editor (with Gordon) of The Linking Ring from 1922 until 1926. In the years that followed, he served as secretary, assistant secretary, and associate editor under Len Vintus.[1]

In 1948, he moved to Southern California and continued to perform both his magic and ventriloquism acts for the Elks, the Chamber of Commerce, and his own Masonic club.
