Dr. E(dward) G(eorge) Ervin DDS (1875-1947) was a dentist in Kansas City, Missouri. [1] He was also an amateur magician who invented several tricks. [2][3]Dr. Ervin had originally been instructed in the art of Magic by William Ellsworth Robinson, a personal friend of Ervin's father. Of Robinson, Ervin said, " A great magician, a kind preceptor. I shall never forget him."[4]
