Edward W. Chism (1881-1956) was a member of Reno Magic Circle in Nevada (SAM Assembly No. 28), which he served as president.

With C.S. Leaf McManus, Leo F. Schmitt and Bud L. Beasley (known as the Reno Quartet), he helped organize the Pacific Coast Association of Magicians convention in 1937. [1][2]

Chism and his brother were successful dairymen. He created the Chism Ice Cream Company in 1905. The Reno Magic Circle meetings were sometimes held at Chism's Ice Cream Factory.

The Chism home is on the historic register.[3]
