Emil Kio (April 11, 1894 — December 19, 1965) born Emil Teodorovich Girshfeld-Renard (Russian: Эмиль Теодорович Кио, Эмиль Теодорович Гиршфельд-Ренард) was a Russian illusionist who appeared with the Moscow State Circus. His wife performed as his assistant.

His sons, Igor Kio and Emil Kio, Jr., became famous Soviet magicians as well. Igor took over for his father after his death.
In 1989, a series of stamps were issued by the Soviet Union paying tribute to Soviet Circus performers. One stamp was dedicated to Emil Kio. It contained a scene intended to illustrate one of his illusions, "Cremation", in which Kio would cover his assistant with a cloth and all would be set on fire. The assistant would reappear from a box that had been suspended from the ceiling, in full view of the audience during the entire show.
