Eugene Gloye (1927-2011) wrote the Our Magical Heritage column in The Linking Ring.

Biography

He attended Elmhurst College, Nebraska Wesleyan University and University of Nebraska, and earned his Ph.D. in Psychology in 1954. He taught psychology at Wooster College, Trinity University and Whittier College. In 1966, he was employed in the Contract Research Program by the Office of Naval Research, Western Regional Office in Pasadena. He retired in 1988.

Besides his professional publications and activities, he became intrigued with Magic at age 12. He performed magic, wrote and illustrated articles for various magazines, invented magic tricks. He joined the International Brotherhood of Magicians in 1947. He also enjoyed photography.

He was a collector of playing cards and magic books.[1]
