Eugene Hellman (1889-1968) was a prominent African American magician who performed magic for over forty years, playing schools and colleges with great success, making him one of the longest performing African-American magician in America.[1]
Biography
Hellman was featured in a very short article in Ebony Magazine in 1949. The Ebony Magazine was all that known about him before the publication of Bill Spooner's publication, "In search of Eugene Hellman" written specifically for a presentation at the 2010 New England Magic Collectors Association conference.[2][3]
