Frank Hewes (1862 - 1917) performed as "The White Yogi".

Biography

Hewes began his career at the early age of seven, when he made his professional debut as a boy magician.

A skilled artist and a natural genius for mechanics, he was also in demand by many noted professionals to build illusions.

After devoting time to the study of Oriental Magic and adapting it to suit western tastes, he adopted the title of "The White Yogi." Hewes retired in 1913.[1]

His most famous invention was the Sword Suspension in 1899.
