It  was seen by Dave Campbell in 1971 who developed a different method to create "Fred the card" trick (obviously as a dedication to Fred Lowe). It was also reinvented years later by Trevor Duffy as "Phil" the card trick. Ali Bongo also published a version in Abracadabra Vol. 73 (1981) called "A Card Named Fred /Christened Reverse the Second".

His business was transferred to Ken Brooke after his death.
