Frederick Mosteller (1916-2006), one of the most eminent statisticians of the 20th century, was an amateur card magician.
Before World War II was an Instructor in Mathematics at Princeton University. During the conflict, served as a Research Mathematician with the Statistical Research Group of Princeton University.
