Frizzo (1852-1894) was a professional magician and shadowist.

Biography

He was taught magic by Compars Herrmann and by the late 1800s he was combining shadowgraphy with magic. He toured Europe, Asia, and South America.

Frizzo taught magic to Antonio Molini and Felicien Trewey who became interested in shadowgraphy after witnessing a performance by Frizzo in Belgium.[1]

It is believed that he eventually died in an insane asylum in Buenos Aires.[2]

Notes

He was sometimes erroneously referred to as a Spanish conjurer and with the last name misspelled Langone.

Another Frizzo played in vaudeville in the United States around 1910.
