The Gen was an English periodical founded by Harry Stanley that was published over 26 years from his Unique Magic Studios, starting just after World War II.
Starting with 3 mimeographed issues while Stanley was still in the army, it ran for 26 years.[1]
Lewis Ganson would later published material in many of his books including Routined Manipulation, The Art of Close-Up Magic, The Dai Vernon Book of Magic, Inner Secrets of Card Magic and The Magic of Slydini.
It would continue under the editorship of Val Andrews for a further two issues as the New Gen.
