Flourished1915-1920s

Hugo Lorenz performed a Second Sight act as the Svengali Trio in a Vaudeville in the early 1900s with pianist Elsie Terry and make-up artist George Stuckenberg.

In their act, Lorenz would moved about the theater receiving whispered requests from the audience for specific musical selections or the names of celebrities. Without saying a word, Elsie Terry would break into the suggested melodies or the make-up artist, George Stuckenberg, would transform himself into a resemblance of the famous person named.

They toured the world until around 1920.

He also worked under the billings "The Lawrence Svengali Trio", "The Lorenz Svengali Trio", "Svengali and Trilby", and "Svengali and Miss Terry".
