Jerard K. Hartman is an investment manager by profession. He lives in a small suburb of New York City. Hartman got started in magic when his father's assistant showed him some basic card stuff. He remembers seeing Gali Gali and Cardini perform as a child in New York City.

His first published trick was by Karl Fulves in Epilogue. He has contributed card routines to many magazines, including two Linking Ring Parades.
