Jimmy Trimble (1892-1971), a sign painter, played the vaudeville circuit in his early days and performed magic at schools,churches, clubs, and hotels.
Biography
Trimble was a WWI veteran, was an Honorary member of IBM Ring 10 in Indianapolis and a member of the S.A.M.
He began performing magic while in high school at Mt. Carmel, Illinois. On the vaudeville circuit he was offering chalk talks, impersonations, magic and a tap dance on the head of a bass drum.
In 1912 he moved to Terre Haute where he worked as a sign painter before opening his own shop in 1933.
Trimble died from injuries sustained while putting his car in the garage. He left the driver's seat to move something out of the way and was pinned against the garage wall when the vehicle accidentally shifted into gear.[1]
