Joe Fleischman (1915-2000) was an amateur magician who worked in the garment industry in Chicago for more than 50 years.

Biography

He held I.B.M. number 12936 and was a long-time member and president (1985-86) of Harlan E. Tarbell Ring 43 in Chicago. He was also a member of the independent The Wizard's Club of Chicago.

Fleischman worked in the garment industry for more than 50 years, cutting patterns. After retiring in the mid-1980s, he operated a magic shop for a few years in a downtown Chicago building on S. Franklin Street where he had been employed.

His primary magic interest was in card magic and created some clever marked decks, which was sold by Joe Berg.

The onset of Alzheimer's, a year before his death, forced him to move a nursing home where he died.[1]
