Joe Klein, the son-in-law of the music publisher, Julius Witmark, was Okito's business partner in the Bamberg Magic and Novelty Company. [1]

Klein took care of the advertising and publicity matters connected with the magic store which Okito opened at Broadway and 28th Street.

Joe had chronic indigestion and always kept a little cardboard pillbox full of small white tablets on his desk. In 1909, While playing around with these pillboxes, Okito came up with the Okito Coin Box.

After a year or two they dissolved partnership.
