John Albenice (1913 - 1957) was an American nightclub magician and author.

Biography

Albenice's magic interest began when he was 14 and began to specialize in magic with reels. He toured both North and South America.

Albenice was internationally known for several of his creations sold by dealers.

He died of a heart at the Ambassador Hotel in New York City five minutes before he was ready to start his act, "Albenice and His Baby Chicks".

According to Dai Vernon in his Vernon Touch column for Genii 1982 March, Albenice originated the card or coin falling through a table into a person's hand.
