Kainoa Harbottle is a Hawaiian-born magician who currently lives in Delaware and is a Professor of English at the Univeristy of Delaware where he teaches a course on magic history. His PhD dissertation was on magic in Victorian England (Conjuring Culture: Performance magic, masculinity, and literature in Victorian and Edwardian England, University of Delaware 2011).

He worked at Curtis Kam’s showroom in Waikiki as well as in restaurants and for private shows in both the business sector and the tourist industry.

He is known for his coin work, specifically his work on Edge Grip in Coins on Edge. This, spiral-bound text is his largest solo publication, though he has published a variety of material in lecture notes, on Curtis Kam's Palms of Steel videos, and coin magic compilation videos.[1]
