Kalma, "Elmer H. Brunner" (c.1890-1955) was among the first to present the floating ball in a theater and ofttimes billed himself as the Colonial Wizard when touring Europe and major theaters in America.

He had ibeen an intimate friend of George LaFollette.

Kalma invented a clip used in photo finishing and operated the Brunner Photo Appliance Company in Cleveland, Ohio. He went to St. Petersburg in 1939 where he became a builder of homes and apartment owner.[1]
