Karlyn (1867-1934), a pseudonym for J. F. Burrows, was a professional society magician. He had books published by Hamleys, The Magician office and the Daisy Bank Publishing Company.

Biography

His "Programs of Magicians" documented over 70 magicians' programs covering the period from 1864-1906.

He died of a heart attack after completing a show for the Parent Assembly S.A.M. It happened just after he was stepping out to take his final bow. Dr. Joseph Fries attended to him but it was already too late.[1]
