M-U-M Magic-Unity-Might, the official organ of the Society of American Magicians. It started with Charles Roltare on October, 1911 and originally ran until July, 1927.

Other editors included over they years Henry Hatton and other SAM presidents.

Starting with the June 1917 issue, Houdini became editor (this was years after his own magazine Conjurers' Monthly Magazine. John Mulholland was his assistant editor. Houdini was underwriting the cost of its publication and on his death in 1926 they could no longer afford to keep it as a separate magazine. A deal was worked out to include the MUM inside the Sphinx with Mulholland as editor.

This page is dedicated to this first series of MUM before it was started back up as another free standing magazine again by Milbourne Christopher on June, 1951. See MUM for full history.
