Magic Ian (1950-2013), also known as Ian Garrison, started magic at age 24 and ran a magic shop in Middletown, New York from 1974 until he moved to Florida in 1988 (but his parents kept operating it until 2000.)
Biography
Ian began lecturing on his inventions and improvements of standard magic gimmicks in 1977. He co-founded the SAM assembly #147, with Jeff McBride, in 1977 in Middletown and served as its secretary. Ian would later serve as Vice President of IBM Ring 258 in Leesburg, FLorida.
From 1989 to 1995, he owned and operated Tropic Cinemagic Theater in Leesburg, Florida.
Ian lived the last part of his life in Bushnell, Florida, continuing to lecture and sell magic on-line.
