- 1965 - Al Wheatley, an Australian born magician known as Chop Chop who popularized the Chop Cup, died.
- 1973 - Cardini, born Richard Valentine Pitchford and became a well known British manipulator, died
- 1987 - Bert Easley, who popularized "The Lean" in the 40s, passes away after complications following surgery for the amputation of one of his legs.
