He began professionally in 1907, specializing in second sight.
He was a friend of Harry Houdini and a charter member of the Society of American Magicians,
During World War II, he was the first entertainer to travel to the South Pacific theater as part of the USO.
He was also a magic dealer, inventing "color vision" (which won awards from two national magician societies in 1952) and has been credited with originating the Center Tear. [1]
