Michael Schirmer (1940-2014), "Mikdini". was a Baltimore area magician.[1]

Biography

Schirmer began doing magic at the age of 12 and by 22, had appeared on the Steel Pier at Atlantic City, New Jersey, on television, and at U.S.O.0 Camp shows. He was employed as a Monotype Keyboard Operator (typesetter) when he was not doing magic.

He served as President of Kellar-Thurston Assembly No 6 of the Society of American Magicians.[2] Was also a Secretary-Treasurer of the Baltimore Ring No. 179, I.B.M., belonged to The Yogi Magic Club of Baltimore, the Magicians Alliance of Eastern States, and an honorary member of The Chicago Round Table of Magicians.

Around 1965, he changed his billing to "The Magical Artistry of . . . Schirmer."[3]

Schirmer was the editor of Yogi Magic Clubs newsletter,Yogi-Gram, in 1962 and wrote the reports of S.A.M. No. 6 for M-U-M.
